A fast-growing small shrub that is often called cigar plant as the bush is smothered with masses of small tubular red and purple flowers in spring through to autumn.
It makes a good shrub for any flower garden or rockeries and makes a good clipped border. Alternatively, it can be grown in a container. Attractive to bees
Prefers full sun growing to about 90 cm x 90 cm
A native of the temperate areas of Central America so will only stand light frost, if south of Hamilton either bring indoors over winter or cover with shade cloth
