Commonly known as Silver Carpet, it is a hardy groundcover plant with small yellow daisy flowers. Native to the coastal plains of South Africa.
It thrives in full sun but can tolerate partial shade. A sandy soil is ideal, but any well-draining soil works. Avoid soggy, wet soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant due to deep roots. Water young plants regularly during the growing season.
It’s a tender perennial for warm climates, surviving light frost but not temperatures below -2deg C. Suitable for coastal gardens.
Can be grown in containers; ensure the container is large enough for rhizomes to spread.
