Lemonwood is a fast-growing native and makes an attractive hedge or shelterbelt.
It produces long, oval, glossy pale green leaves with wavy margins. The leaves produce a lemon scent when crushed. The flowers are small, creamy yellow in spring or early summer and slightly fragrant. Attractive to bees.
Reaches 3m at 5 years and 12m at maturity but can be trimmed
The spotting on leaves in most cases is caused by damp, humid and/or cold conditions rather than disease.
