Full description:
A very popular heritage cooking apple that originated in Australia dating back to the early 1900\\'s.
It bears large green apples often with slight blush of red. They ripen towards the end of April.
The flesh is creamy and breaksdown on cooking so ideal for pies and also sauces it stores very well too.
Ballarat tends to be upright in growth. These trees are on M0 rootstock, which is a dwarfing rootstock making it suitable for smaller gardens or for espaliering
Plants are sold bare rooted (not potted up) and are single rods so buyer is able to prune to the tree shape they want. I am happy to answer questions on pruning
